Step 1
Cut the potatoes into big pieces and cook it for one whistle(until it is half cooked) in a pressure cooker adding enough water.
Step 2
Take a deep pan on medium flame.add 2-3 tbspn coconut oil into it.when it is hot, transfer the half cooked potatoes and shallow fry it until the potatoes turn golden in colour and looks crispy.
Step 3
transfer the fried potatoes to a bowl and on the same pan,add little more coconut oil.add cumin seeds,cardamom,clove,cinnamon,onion,green chillies,ginger garlic paste,salt and saute well until the onions are soft and transparent.
Step 4
Then add red chilli powder,turmeric powder,Corrionder powder,Garam masala,asafetida, and mix well until the masala powders are roasted well.
Step 5
Now transfer the fried potatoes into it.then add 1 cup of plain yogurt along with 1 cup of warm water.give it a very good mix.
Step 6
finally add 1 tspn sugar and cook on medium flame until you get a thick gravy.
