MTR Gulab Jamun Mix
200 gms
Step 1
Firstly, prepare sugar syrup by boiling 2 cups of sugar in 2 cups of water. Boil for 10 minutes or until syrup turns sticky. For extra flavor add ¼ tsp cardamom powder or 5 cardamom pods and cover and keep aside.
Step 2
In a bowl add 200 grams MTR Gulab jamun mix. Add ¼ cup water and mix gently to form the dough. Make a soft and smooth dough without over kneading. Grease the hand with ghee and prepare small ball sized Jamuns.
Step 3
Heat the oil / ghee on medium flame and when the oil / ghee is moderately hot, fry the Jamuns. Fry the balls on low flame stirring in between. Drop the fried Gulab Jamuns into the warm sugar syrup. You can add some crushed pistachios on top. Cover the lid and let it rest for atleast 2 hours. It's good to keep the Jamuns soaked in the sugar syrup overnight to absorb the syrup.
