Step 1
Soak tuvar dal for 30 mins. Cut pumpkin into small pieces. Then cook dal in cooker with water & cut pumpkin pieces in it. Also add turmeric & red chilly powder & give 7 to 9 whistles.
Step 2
Grind coconut into fine paste alongwith jeera & add it to dal/pumpkin after removing from cooker. Add salt & keep it on gas & boil for some time.
Step 3
After 5 minutes switch off the gas , put curry leaves in it & close it with a lid.
Step 4
Take oil in a kadai & temper mustard seeds in it & pour it over the dal/pumpkin curry. Pumpkin curry is ready to be served with rice.
